Kyle served as primary writer and producer of Fell Swoop's first two productions, The Miss Julie Dream Project and The Last Temptation of Paula Deen. The Last Temptation of Paula Deen premiered at the 2014 Hollywood Fringe Festival. The Miss Julie Dream Project premiered at the 2013 Hollywood Fringe and was remounted at Son of Semele Theater in September of that year. His play Yucca Corridor was a semi-finalist for the 2016 O'Neill Playwrights Conference and will be read in February 2017 as part of Winterfest 2017 at Ensemble Studio Theatre Los Angeles. Women In Film: A Fantasy of Olivia de Havilland and Joan Fontaine was developed at the 2016 HBMG Winter Playwrights Retreat in Creede, CO. The Clinton Play: A Southern Tragicomedy won first place in the 2016 Hendrix-Murphy Playwriting Competition. After School Special was a PlayLabs selection at the 2013 Great Plains Theatre Conference in Omaha, NE. The first play in Kyle's trilogy of plays set in Bumblebee, Arkansas, Bumblefuck, AR, received a GreenRead in August 2012 with Botanicum Seedlings at Theatricum Botanicum in Topanga, CA. The play was also a finalist for Lark Playwrights Week 2011 and a semi-finalist for both the 2011 Lila Acheson Wallace American Playwriting Fellowship at Juilliard University and the 2011 O'Neill Playwrights Conference. His second play in the trilogy, The Butcher of Bumblebee, was named a semi-finalist for the 2013 O'Neill Playwrights conference. Kyle's play Customary Monsters was a semi-finalist for the Princess Grace Fellowship, the O'Neill Playwrights Conference, and a finalist for Lark Playwrights Week in 2007. His scripts have also been developed or performed at Lark Play Development Center, Clubbed Thumb, Celebration Theater, Company of Angels, Psychic Visions Theatre, Unknown Theater, Theatre of NOTE, and Unspoken Theater Group. Kyle holds an MFA in Dramatic Writing from Carnegie Mellon University, and is active with Naked Angels Tuesdays@9 Los Angeles.
